Quantity Surveyor
We’re looking for a QS who knows how to work smart, move fast, and deliver with accuracy. You’ll work across tenders, estimates, variations, and cost management for civil construction projects in New Zealand.
What you’ll do
• Handle quantity take-offs, SOQs, and rate build-ups
• Prepare tenders, estimates, engineer estimates, and working day rates
• Draft and review variations, progress claims, and payment schedules
• Support cost control and reporting on live projects
• Work with CivCost and help clients adopt best practices
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and councils
• Contribute to pricing for civil works across NZ regions
• Maintain accurate documentation and project records
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of QS experience in New Zealand
• Strong understanding of NZS 3910 and civil construction practices
• Experience with tendering, estimating, and contract admin
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with QS software is a bonus
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail
• Good communication and client-facing ability
• Degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Full-time eligibility to work in NZ
